Do you like being manipulated?

Nah, me neither.
In fact, my first instinct is usually to withdraw and become cautious. Recently, I looked into what people actually think about team-building events. What came out of it was quite interesting. It turns out that people don't necessarily dislike team events themselves. What they dislike is the feeling of being manipulated, having their behaviour evaluated, or being pushed to artificially connect with one another.
Words like "forced", "fake", "cringe", and "mandatory" kept coming up.
And it makes perfect sense. How often does genuine connection emerge when it's being forced?
The most meaningful experiences rarely happen because someone tells us what to feel.
They happen when we get to experience something together.
What stood out from the research was that the most enjoyed experiences were surprisingly simple:
Making music.
Creating something.
Solving a problem.
Cooking together.
Building something.
These are activities where collaboration and shared experience emerge as a by-product.
At Créa, we're not interested in manufacturing team spirit.
We're interested in creating the conditions where something genuine can emerge naturally.
There's a big difference.
And people can feel it!
